All households are provided with one 240litre wheeliebin but, if you find it necessary, you can purchase an additional bin from the Commissioners at cost price.

Available for hire by clubs, groups and individuals at a charge of £30.00 per evening, per afternoon or per morning. Special rates are available for regular bookings over a period. Bookings through Jane Glover, by e-mail at deputyclerk@arbrus.gov.im or Telephone 824049.
The caretaker is Sarah Coole. Tel. 410282. The Hall is presently used for a wide variety of activities including Keep Fit, Tai Chi, Tae Kwando, Judo, Yoga, Dance classes, Art Classes, Ladies Keep Fit, concerts and children’s parties.
Warm and comfortable committee room or small meeting room, seating 10-15 people around a board type table – available for hire.

There are four members, one from each of the local authorities. There is now accomodation at three locations – the original Marashen Crescent, Port Erin with 47 units (4 double), Reayrt y Chrink, Four Roads, with 42 units (19 double), Cooill Veg, Creggan Mooar, Port St Mary, with 12 units (all double) and Reayrt y Chrink phase 3, with 34 new units.
The tenants are completely independent but a “good neighbour” warden calls on every unit every day and staff are on call throughout the night. The units are also linked to Manx Carephones in case of emergencies.
The Commissioners do not have the powers to approve or refuse an application – they can just submit their views.
If you are a close neighbour to a proposed development or if you might be otherwise affected you are entitled to submit your own views to the Planning Committee. You can copy your comments to the Commissioners if you wish.

The Commissioners do not operate any libraries themselves, but, to provide Arbory and Rushen residents with access to this service, they make financial contributions to Port Erin Library, Castletown Library and the Mobile Family Library.
